Game Story

You are students of the Galactic Academy of Explorations (GAE, pronounced “gay”), sent on your first assignment: terraforming a planet. Finally, you get to land your extremely expensive spaceship on an untouched world and improve it by reshaping millions of years of ecosystems to better match your perfectly reasonable preferences. Surely this will have no consequences.

About one month into your journey, the ship computer DAL 7000 calmly announces:
 “Minor software upgrade required. Self-destruct in T–10 if upgrade 
not installed.” You rush to the upgrade console. The solution is simple: Collect 15 pieces of material. DAL 7000 will handle the rest. To keep this mildly life-threatening situation fun you turn it into a race. The student that
completes the upgrade first gets the remote for the hyper-plus diamond-infotainment remote for a week! Assuming you survive. And if you don’t…at least one of you came very close.


HOW TO PLAY

Goal:
Collect 15 cards of the same color in your “pocket”, or have the largest group when the deck runs out.

Setup

Shuffle the deck. Deal 6 cards to each player.
These are your hand-cards, keep them secret!

Rounds and Turns

• 1 round consists of 5 turns
• In each turn all players play 1 card from their hand.
• Highest number card wins.
• Winner takes all cards into their pocket and starts the next turn.
• Repeat for all 5 cards.
• If turn results in a tie, the card from this turn will be won with the next turn!

Discard
ing

• Look at your pocket cards
• Keep your largest color group
• Discard the rest of the cards!
• If two groups are the same size, pick one!

Upgrading

• Spend cards from your pocket
• Gain upgrades for next round
• Have a look at the menu on the Upgrades Card

Next Round
: Deal 5 new cards and repeat!

How 
 to 
win

Have a group of 13 cards or more of the same color! or
If the deck runs out → player with the largest group wins!

Notes:

Your pocket is not your hand, dont play your pocket-cards!

Cards spent on upgrades are discarded!

Veto can be used for ANY action, but only once!
